About Me

I’m a Bay Area native, with roots in Milpitas and a growing home and community in Oakland, California. Before photography, my first love was food. It’s at the heart of my most cherished memories, especially those shared with my late mom. Over time, I’ve come to realize how my relationship with food has been influenced by the systems I've come accustomed to. What once felt like nourishment for the soul evolved into a job, a quest for Michelin stars, a luxury, an expense.

Food, something so intimately tied to the earth and our collective humanity, has been tainted by the very systems that oppress and commodify it. Food is political. My work aims to explore food through multiple lenses — to challenge the forces that shape how we produce, consume, and relate to it. I seek to reclaim our food, communities, and culture, while sowing the seeds of food sovereignty for generations to come. This is my resistance -- a way to honor the past while building a more just and sustainable future.
